Preliminary Checklist

Three of Louisiana’s six ecoregions and six distinct habitat types all converge at PJF Farm & Lodge. Not surprisingly, plant diversity is high with around 225 species recorded thus far – including eleven species of oaks! 

Plants are listed here in alphabetical order by scientific name, followed by common name(s). The numbers in parentheses refer to the specific habitat types in which the plants were found. See the list at right.
